Starting from 12/18/2024, Amazon is making changes to the process of creating shipments with the following types:
- Send to FBA from Prep.
- Transit to FBA from Prep.
The new Amazon standards require entering parcel dimensions before creating an FBA plan and specifying the approximate date of arrival of the cargo at the FBA warehouses. As well as providing and option to choose a carrier yourself.
This article will guide you through the new interface and changes in the working process.
Menu Who creates the fba plan? is replaced with: Inbound Plan Responsibility.
When creating a shipment, the modified step Inbound Plan Responsibility has three options available:
* Plan and Ship via Prep Center (recommended) - the best option that requires integration with Amazon.
The warehouse assumes responsibility for creating an FBA plan, packaging the goods, and assigning the carrier, which fully automates the process of sending goods to Amazon warehouses.
* Plan and Select Delivery Yourself - best option, if you want to control the shipping process.
It enables you to select both the Amazon warehouse, to which your product will be shipped, and the carrier that will handle the delivery.
Please be aware that you must check on the shipment status and confirm your selection. Until then, your shipment will remain at the prep center.
* Manage FBA Plan Manually is an option designed for situations where you lack integration with Amazon.
With this option, you need to create an FBA plan on your Amazon Seller Central account and attach labels to the shipment in the Files section.
Once the product is added, you must create FBA packing groups before sending the shipment to the prep center.
For shipment with the type Send to FBA from Prep simply click on Generate packing groups and the process will start automatically.
If shipment contains Masterboxes, you need to confirm the creation of the plan by clicking on Create inbound plan.
Now you can send the shipment to the prep center.
To do this, open the Send to Prep tab and click on Send to prep center.
If you selected Plan and Select Delivery Yourself when creating a shipment, you'll receive a notification in your Ysell account (under the Bell icon), after partial processing by the prep center. This will prompt you to choose a product placement plan. The notification will also appear in the Telegram chat if the notification bot is set up.
You will be able to choose the Placement option (Placement option) from the list offered by Amazon.
Examine the options and choose the most appropriate one.
Now you need to do the following:
(1) Select shipping carrier. Select which carrier will deliver the goods. When selecting “Amazon partnered”, step (2) will be skipped.
(2) Select delivery window. Choose the expected date range for delivery to the FBA warehouses. By default, the most optimal option is selected.
(3) Confirm placement option. Confirm your choice and send the data to the prep center.
